Hitherto, The Lord God Almighty had given an open invitation saying, “Come now, and let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword”. And for this reason He also told mankind, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them”; and He continued, “Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant” (Isaiah 1: 18-20; Eccles. 12: 1; Ezekiel 16: 60).
Of a truth, a careful assessment of these divine proclamations are directed to the youth of the world, male and female. But one may ask, why? It is because the youth are the engine house and the movers of any nation and the world at large. This implies that whether for good or bad, they are to be held responsible by God Almighty – the very reason He reminded them in Ecclesiastes 12: 13 thus; “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” as a divine guide to success in life, being that He has an everlasting covenant with them.
Today, the nations of the world pride in very important personalities who have distinguished themselves out of the lot. We have the likes of famous scientists, technocrats, bureaucrats, academics, religious adepts, great and powerful monarchs and political leaders, captains of industries, renowned military generals, men and women of God, and so on. The question is, how many out of the lot have actually feared God Almighty and followed His divine directives as they should? Rather, they are all found wanting, the very reason why the great desolation in several places of the world, lamentation, gnashing of teeth, suffering, so much crimes, strife, wars, hard times, famine, droughts, and you name it. Worse still, the few who tried to follow the right path of God like the prophets of old, John the Baptist, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His disciples, etc. were all maligned, treated badly and killed; of course, the youths used to actualise those dastardly acts; so evil reigns and is still the order of the day. The cause is that mankind is carried away by lust for material things of the world, and seem to have forgotten or abandoned God and His path of righteous living.
To rewrite the story of the world and the earth dwellers is why in this generation, with His physical presence on earth, The God of Heaven, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings and The Lord of lords, has once again called the youth His “friends” so that they would know Him better, and to follow Him as their only ‘Trusted and Reliable Leader’, who shall lead them to the accurate knowledge of the truth, hence grant them everlasting life and salvation. Indeed, He is their “Great Hero”! (John 15: 13-17).
“Like father, like son and like mother, like daughter” is a popular saying which implies that children must of necessity take after their parents. This goes to say that if truly we, the BCS youth, say that Holy Father Olumba Olumba Obu is our God, Father, Friend, Role Model and Great Hero, it means then that we must emulate and showcase His pattern of life wherever, at all times, and in all circumstances. It is only by so doing, that we can equally affect our peers and other youths across the world over time to change positively the present precarious state of our world and society to one of peaceful and blissful living, hence paradise regained on earth.
So, how can we do this? We must always be in spirit so that we will hear The Holy Spirit whenever He speaks to us and follow the path of righteousness, everlasting life and salvation. We must engage in frequent fasting and praying as to purify our bodies which is temple of God He personally built for His abode, as we are expected to be holy as He is, according to the scriptures. Also, it is expected of us to let go the promptings of the flesh, and to bear the fruits of the Spirit, thereby exuding love, forgiveness, tolerance, patience, perseverance, mercy, kindness, grace, contentment, longsuffering and other Godly virtues in all our relations with fellow humans and other creatures. It is also said scripturally that although we are in the world, yet we are not of it; therefore, we must remain separated and unspotted from worldly activities of partying, drinking, fornicating, taking drugs, ritualism, cultism, militancy, traditional plays, libation, and other notorious lifestyles.
Beloved BCS youths, being the only hope of the dying world, it behoves on us to, as the light of the world and salt of the earth, to always spread The Everlasting Gospel of Great Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, The Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe and The Promised Comforter, to the nooks and crannies of the world, more importantly, to practise same and teach others to do exactly the same. Also, it is our duty to cater for the indigent in society and give necessary help, even though it may be so little; yet it will go a long way. We must know that caring for or helping others must not always involve money; sometimes it is just a show of kindness in service by visiting the aged, the sick, the helpless, orphans, widows and widowers within your neighbourhood. Even just giving hope to someone through advices and making someone to smile will go a long way to salvage a situation and change our world for good. Voluntary services to the vulnerable and aged like doing their chores and the like will also go a long way to enliven them. Just be compassionate and show a little kindness to someone in all circumstances! And of necessity, we must learn to be selfless and make sacrifices for others good and happiness!
These and more humanitarian services our Holy Father Olumba Olumba Obu, The Ancient of Days and Holy Mother Esu Elizabeth Olumba Obu, The Supreme Mother of Love, Mercy and Peace, left as divine legacies to us to build upon as to change the world and the earth dwellers for good; and this assignment we owe to Them, our Heavenly Parents. This we must do as true children of Holy Father Olumba Olumba Obu through our daily contacts and interactions with the Brotherhood of man, including the non-baptised. Obviously, the people or the world are watching and waiting for us to lead them, having been taught well by Papa and Mama!
Not to forget that Holy Mother Esu Elizabeth Olumba Obu’s Glorification Anniversary and “Mercy Day” in commemoration of Her good works to humanity are around the corner, come Monday, 30th September and Tuesday, 1st October, 2024. Even as the Christ Universal Women Fellowship and the Mansion of Blessedness jointly host this annual anniversary, let us ensure that as Brotherhood members including the youth, we touch the lives of others, especially the needy and the vulnerable around us; and assuredly, we will be blessed abundantly for the little we can offer. In like manner, let us be reminded early enough that Sunday, 1st December, 2024 is equally “Charity Day” in remembrance of the wonderful services of Great Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, The Ancient of Days to the human family. Please, let preparations for it start early from now. In case you cannot go out or will be so occupied, direct your donations in cash, clothes and other materials to Mercy Fellowship who will do it on your behalf; the accruing blessings will still be yours.
