The Holy Father, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, The King of kings and The Lord of lords, has called on the leadership of the Christ Universal Children Fellowship to bolster its commitment to the spiritual training and development of Sabbath Children.
In a significant address delivered at the BCS World Headquarters in Calabar, Nigeria, during their weeklong anniversary celebration tagged, “Beacons of Olumba, Glowing in His Assurance”, He emphasized that these children, cherished as the ‘First fruits of the Sanctuary’, must be nurtured through the CUCF’s Comprehensive Spiritual Programs designed to fortify their spirits and prepare them for future challenges.
The Holy Father highlighted that the spiritual training provided through Sabbath classes serves as an essential foundation, equipping children with the wisdom of The Holy Spirit to lead effectively in all aspects of life. He underscored that this training is not just an educational process, but a divine insurance policy, following the biblical mandate in Proverbs 22: 6 to “train up a child in the way he should go”.

Addressing concerns, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu expressed disappointment over the reluctance of some parents to involve their children in Sabbath activities. He stressed that participation in Sabbath Choir and other spiritual programs is crucial for maintaining and strengthening their faith. The Holy Father reiterated that Sabbath Children are unique divine gifts, significant not only for their future potentials, but for their inherent value as blessings from God.
Speaking on, The Holy Father affirmed that the Sabbath Children are natural leaders with the divine knowledge to guide and uplift others. He noted that during His previous manifestation, He had emphasized the importance of bringing these children closer to Him; and now, in His current era, He has endowed them with talents to manifest the Kingdom’s glory through songs, testimonies, and preaching.
The Holy Father also directed that Sabbath Children should resume the practice of reading the ‘First Bible Lesson’ and leading the ‘First Prayer’ during every Divine Service at Bethels and Pentecostal Centres. He clarified that while the Junior 144,000 Virgins should no longer be referred to as Sabbath Children due to their new administrative structure, they will continue to be trained in Sabbath activities under the CUCF curriculum for their spiritual growth.
He praised the CUCF’s international executive team led by MCS Kay Ofo, for their exceptional dedication and efforts in advancing the fellowship’s mission. The address also acknowledged the achievements of the recent weeklong activities which included: a flag-off ceremony, educational lectures on nurturing prayer life and financial literacy, and various media and talent exhibitions.
The Holy Father encouraged members to support and appreciate Sabbath Children, emphasizing that such acts bring divine blessings. He pronounced everlasting peace upon families who contributed to the recent event and blessed those who provided support, including food items and financial donations.
Looking ahead, The Chief Shepherd announced several new initiatives, including the refurbishment of the CUCF office, the production of a monthly newsletter, and the development of a comprehensive training and empowerment strategy. He also emphasized the need for continued collaboration with media outlets to enhance children-focused programs.
The Holy Father again reassured Sabbath Children and their Handlers of His unwavering support and divine protection, promising that they will continue to be blessed with spiritual and material resources to achieve their goals. He urged them to remain steadfast in their faith and to build a foundation that will stand firm against all trials and temptations, with the assurance of His continued guidance and blessings.
