CUCF 48TH ANNIVERSARY: CHILDREN INSPIRED TO ASPIRE FOR GREATNESS DURING EXCURSION

Children have been encouraged to aim high and embrace their ambitions during an excursion to two outstanding BCS establishments as part of events marking the 48th Anniversary celebration of the Christ Universal Children Fellowship.

The visit to Triple Star Printing Press and Mother Elizabeth Sewing Institute provided a rich educational experience, showcasing the importance of hard work and creativity.

The day began with an exciting tour of the Triple Star Printing Press, where students were introduced to the dynamic world of printing. Amidst the whirring machinery and the fresh scent of ink, they observed how digital designs were transformed into vibrant printed materials. The students learned about the entire printing process, from initial design to final production, highlighting the blend of artistic vision and technical precision involved.

Following the printing press, the children ventured to the Mother Elizabeth Sewing Institute. In this tranquil environment, they saw firsthand the intricate process of garment creation. From selecting fabrics to sewing elaborate designs, the students gained insights into the craftsmanship and creativity behind fashion. The visit illustrated how dedication and skill are essential in transforming ideas into tangible results.

Matriarch Christ Shepherd Emem Ekpenyong, the Manager of both companies, addressed the children with an inspiring speech. “Hard work and dedication are key to achieving greatness”, she emphasized. “Your journey begins with dreaming big and working diligently towards those dreams. Today’s visit is a testament to what is possible with passion and effort.”

The children were particularly moved by the words of one of their peers, Sister Rebecca Ogboji, who reflected on the experience. “Seeing how things are made and understanding the effort involved was amazing”, Emily said. “It’s made me think about my own dreams and how important it is to work hard to achieve them.”

The excursion did not only provide practical knowledge about the printing and fashion industries, but also served as a powerful reminder of the value of perseverance and creativity. The children left inspired and motivated, ready to apply the lessons learned to their own aspirations.

“The Children’s visit to Triple Star Printing Press and Mother Elizabeth Sewing Institute has proven to be an enlightening experience, thanks to MCS Kay Ofo’s commitment to fostering ambition and hard work amongst the Children”, said Patriarch Christ Shepherd Odilamma Onya.

PCS Onya, the Vice Chairman of the Fellowship, also noted that the impact of the excursion on them was profound. “They were not only exposed to the intricate processes behind printing and fashion design, but also inspired by MCS Emem Ekpenyong’s message of hard work and ambition, as many children expressed a newfound appreciation for the effort involved in these industries and a heightened sense of their own potentials. It was heartening to see them leave with a sense of purpose and excitement about their own future possibilities”, he said.

“The children walked away with a deeper understanding of the industries and a renewed sense of purpose, eager to pursue their own dreams with determination”, he said additionally.
